
Colson Baker(born on April 22 on the 22nd of April, 1990), known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), is an American singer, rapper writer, actor, and songwriter. He is noted for his blending of genres, combining alternative rock and hip hop.Machine Gun Kelly released four mixtapes from 2007 and 2010 prior to signing to Bad Boy Records. The debut album, Lace Up (2012 with a peak at number 4 on the US Billboard 200), included the hit track "Wild Boy" featuring Waka Flocka Flam. General Admission (2015) and Bloom 2017 were his second and third albums. The latter included the smash hit track "Bad Things" which was sung by Camila Cabello and peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. His fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2019) included the rap genre of rock.Machine Gun Kelly debuted his fifth album Tickets to My Downfall, in 2020. It marked a complete departure from hip hop and entry into pop punk. It was a top-ranked album on Billboard 200 and was the only rock album to reach this rank. The hit single "My Ex's Best Friend" was also able to climb to number 20 on the Hot 100. Mainstream Sellout, the album's sequel (1922) was an immediate commercial success.
