Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her amateur debut at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd was able to win three bouts within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were defeated within the first minute. Then, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was defeated by Aspen in a unanimous vote. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd was able to bounce back to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen became a professional in 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11, she took on Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the first round, via a TKO. Invicta Fc 16 represented her first bout as a Bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission during the second round. Aspen employed her impressive fighting skills to defeat McGill and ended her fight via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy using the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy up to the point where she ended her fight with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she defeated her opponent in her final bout with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 with Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina using ground and pound to take the win via TKO in the 2nd round. She continued her dominance and picked up a more impressive victory in her subsequent fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd beat Evinger by a punch in the opening round, and received a performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks, a member of Invicta FC, was her opponent in another rematch in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first big fight. Both fighters put on a battle of back and forth that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters receiving one of the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. In the third round of UFC broadcast on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Dumont was defeated in a unanimous decision.
