Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor active in the theatre, television and film. Her acting career started in the theatre. Then she appeared on several television shows as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received numerous nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she made her debut as Ariel on stage on stage in The Tempest. Her stage credits include the Broadway performance that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her roles as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her part as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
